What follows is a previously top secret recipe for the sweetest, diabetes inducing Scottish delicacy called ‘Tablet’. It’s my Granma Broons own recipe and accounts for the fact I’m a toothless, fat git. BEWARE! We also had some professional snaps done by Mike [...] Neither of us can quite believe it, but we’re back from honeymoon and the preparation, the ceremony, the reception and the honeymoon are all just distant memories. We want to thank everyone who came to share our special day together – it was unforgettable (especially Johns momentous speech – ‘Lump Sucker’ is now a copyrighted term). Thank [...] Well, it’s only a week to go until the big day! I can’t believe that it’s come around so quick: it seems like only yesterday that I proposed and Debbie, in a fit of madness, accepted! Everything is now arranged and we’re just counting down the days now; we’re both very excited indeed! It’s almost a [...] So the invites are sent! WOOO HOOO! Thanks to Debbie’s superior organisational skills, everything is on track for October. The church, venue and cars are booked. Songs and hyms have been selected. Rings are bought, outfits chosen, food and booze tasted. Go go go! It’s been ages since I posted anything, so I thought that an update was in order! Our wedding plans are going swimmingly, with everything pretty much in the bag. We’re picking out wedding rings this week and that just about completes our preparations – only 5 months to go! I’ve created a new page, with details [...] I am very, very excited to announce that: Debbie and I are engaged to be married! In a stereotypical, romantic scene (I had just finished vacuuming leaves from the patio, Debbie had put out the compost and was working on a spreadsheet in the office), I cunningly asked the question when her guard was down and she [...] Debs and I have finally got round to moving into our new house in Elstead, Surrey. It’s fantastic, and really nice to be back in the countryside again. Also very nice to have 3 pubs within walking distance: ones that you’re sure to get out of alive, unlike the Court Jester in Hampton! I’ve uploaded [...] Debs and I are just back from a fantastic week in Alcudia, in the North East of Majorca. Beautiful island with lovely, friendly people, great food and cheap beer – what more could you want?! Lots of photos and a couple of movies (nothing rude, I assure you) in the usual place. Patch the Cat moved in today! Hurrah! He’s a lovable, black and white, furry wee beastie who has come to live with us. He’s settling in well and getting used to the place. Alas my poor sofas are not doing so well. You can see photos of him in the gallery. |
