By Oli Ollerenshaw, on May 3rd, 2009 It’s been ages since I posted anything, so I thought that an update was in order!
Our wedding plans are going swimmingly, with everything pretty much in the bag. We’re picking out wedding rings this week and that just about completes our preparations – only 5 months to go! I’ve created a new page, with details of the big day for attendees: details of the venue and accommodation, bits and pieces like that. You’ll also see a countdown timer to the big day – more for my benefit than anything else, really!
More info nearer the time!
By Oli Ollerenshaw, on January 13th, 2009 I am very, very excited to announce that:
Debbie and I are engaged to be married!
In a stereotypical, romantic scene (I had just finished vacuuming leaves from the patio, Debbie had put out the compost and was working on a spreadsheet in the office), I cunningly asked the question when her guard was down and she said yes! Who’d have thunk?! We’re very excited about it and the ball is rolling: a date is set (October 24th) as is a location for the ceremony (Busbridge Church) and the venue for afterwards (Barnett Hill, near Guildford). Engagement ring shopping this coming weekend will seal the deal, so to speak!
Look out for invitations in the post shortly and please have a drink and a toast to the future, on our behalf!
By Oli Ollerenshaw, on December 18th, 2008 Debs and I have spent another fantastic long weekend in Zal Am See, in Austria. We stayed at the fantastic Hotel Max and absolutely loved it. Beautiful resort and the snow and atmosphere was top notch. Feels ever so Christmassy now! Photos are here, if you’re interested.
By Oli Ollerenshaw, on November 29th, 2008 Debs and I have finally got round to moving into our new house in Elstead, Surrey. It’s fantastic, and really nice to be back in the countryside again. Also very nice to have 3 pubs within walking distance: ones that you’re sure to get out of alive, unlike the Court Jester in Hampton! I’ve uploaded a few piccies of the new place for your perusal, if interested.
By Oli Ollerenshaw, on September 10th, 2008 Debs and I are just back from a fantastic week in Alcudia, in the North East of Majorca. Beautiful island with lovely, friendly people, great food and cheap beer – what more could you want?! Lots of photos and a couple of movies (nothing rude, I assure you) in the usual place.
By Oli Ollerenshaw, on July 27th, 2008 Debs, Dunc, Barry and I spent the weekend in Afan near Port Talbot in Wales last weekend, riding the trails at the Afan Forest Park. Aside from the misery of camping (I worked it out – Cold, Anguish, Misery, Pain – CAMP), the biking was awesome to the max! Photos of the weekend are in the gallery.
By Oli Ollerenshaw, on June 10th, 2008 It’s that time of year again – July the 18th sees the 18th Capital to Coast cycle ride! Debs and I will be riding the 60 mile course in aid if a number of worthwhile charities:
Norwood
SPARKS
Down’s Syndrome Association
Southern FM’s Help a Local Child
As ever, we welcome any form of sponsorship - no amount too small or too large! You can read more about the event at the Capital to Coast web site and you can sponsor us here!
By Oli Ollerenshaw, on March 10th, 2008 Myself and some chums just got back from a weeks snow boarding and skiing in Morzine in France. Debs secured us a fantastic chalet on the outskirts of town, which served as a base for a week of fun and games on the piste! Lots of photos, as usual, so do have a gander!
By Oli Ollerenshaw, on February 1st, 2008 Patch the Cat moved in today! Hurrah! He’s a lovable, black and white, furry wee beastie who has come to live with us. He’s settling in well and getting used to the place. Alas my poor sofas are not doing so well.
You can see photos of him in the gallery.
By Oli Ollerenshaw, on December 22nd, 2007 Merry Chritsmas and a Happy New Year for 2008!
Xmas time is upon us once again – WOO HOO! Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year. Hope Santa is good to you!
As ever, photos of our family festive celebrations can be found in the gallery!
